  • Catastrophic

    Today has been a disaster.

I started the day with oversleeping, which is never good, especially when I have school. I was home alone, and I walk to school. I woke at 8.10, and had to be ready to leave by 8.35.

There was no chance of me achieving that.

So. I was late to school. Again.

I walked into the sixth form room where everyone had gone after registration, and was just talking to everyone for a bit, and then my mate Anna pointed at my boob. I looked down, and to my sheer horror, I wasn't wearing my school polo shirt, I was wearing my works one, which is slightly similar, but noticably different.

I have had nightmares in the past, which were along the same lines of what happened to me today. When I saw though, I did burst out into a kind of squawking and laughing fit, and my friend Forida, had to hold me up.

I was kind of confused, amused and embarassed at the same time.

Thank goodness, I only had a double lesson of history and then I could run away home at 11am.

In history we had a bit of a laugh like we always do. One thing that isn't really funny, but interesting, was a similarity between something that happended in the 17th Century, and something that is happening now.

There were rioters that destroyed a toll-gate because they thought the tolls were unfairly high. It was rebuilt and the rioters, yet again, destroyed it. This happened over and over again, until the toll-gate owners finally got the message and didn't bother.

The similarity I found is a phone box in a nearby town to where I live that is on a rough estate. The phone box got smashed up once, a few years ago now, and everyone was really shocked. The local council had it rebuilt, and thought it wouldn't happen again. Well. They were wrong. The same process continued for a long time, but this had an opposite result. The vandals decided to stop smashing the phone box up.

    Intriguing eh?

When I got home (home alone - again) I decided to do some housework. I started with doing the washing up, and then proceeded to make myself a cup of coffee. I broke the kettle. The filter fell out, and I managed to fix it, but I'm not sure if I did it right or not. The ironic thing is, I broke the last kettle that we had, and kept that a big secret, and then somebody else thought they had broken it.

I then started on the hoovering the front room, and bare in mind, we have a new carpet which has only been laid for a few weeks. I was nearly finished, and then to my extreme terror, the hoover started making a horrible whirring noise. The reason, was that it had tried to pick up this little bit of plastic which was attached to the carpet, and the carpet began to unravel and wrap its way round the spinning bit of the hoover.

I turned off the hoover as quick as I could and unravelled the stringy carpet, but a slightly noticable gap has been left. I haven't told mum, and hopefully she won't notice!

So yes, I have had a bit of a disastrous day.

Well, I think that's all folks.

  • Mint Royale – Singing in The Rain – At No.1

    Mint Royale

This song is fantastic if you ask me. This is all I want to listen to right now, and I keep putting it on repeat and listening to it for ages.

    It’s at No.1 and it’s no surprise.

The song has been selling like hotcakes since it was played on Britains Got Talent in the Winner’ George’s street dancing act.

It’s so catchy, and it is an old classic transformed into something modern but also something that people of all ages can enjoy.

If you haven’t heard this then I definitely suggest looking it up!

  • Woooww... My First Post and A Game Of Rounders

So... This is my first post, and I apologise if it's really boring or whatever.

Well, I actually went to school today, after taking a naughty four days off :))

It wasn't too eventful, but a few interesting things happened.

At dinner time, there was a game of rounders. Because I can't hit, throw, field, run, or bowl ... I sat and watched lol.

My friend Hannah was playing, and on her go she was running towards the last post. She collided with a fielder named Ifan, and she fell. Her bat flew one way and her glasses flew the other, and even though she hurt herself it was still funny. She's one of those great people who can see the funny side of things too, and she couldn't stop laughing even though her mouth was filled with blood. Nice.

Her tongue has been scraped on both sides, and this lead us to discuss whether her taste buds have been drastrically affected and which taste will be affected most. Hannah began to worry about her love for chocolate being affected lol.

I just looked this up and the taste buds at the side of the tongue are the ones that recognise sour tastes, so Hannah will be pleased.

Hmmm, not a lot else happened to me today really, apart from my friends and I getting excited about a music and alcohol festival we're all going too called Workhouse. It's going to be awesome. We're trying to sort out what tent we're getting at the moment, and we can't decide. My mate Nicolle went out and bought a cheap tent from Tesco's... and it's really rubbish so we have to get another one lol.

Another rather amusing thing that happened to me this evening was my sister telling my unfortunate mum that she needs to go shopping for five unusual fruits by Friday. This is some food technology thing, and my mum was not impressed. Ohh.. it did make me chuckle.

    Well, I think that's all.

    Thanks for reading
